
The French enjoy a good continental breakfast, much like their Mediterranean neighbours. This is usually a light breakfast that comprises of pastries, toast, jam fruit and cheese such as Brie or Camembert. As a beverage coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juice are usually added. The photo above shows breakfast for four people. This would be the type of breakfast offered to guests at a hotel. Similarly it would also be offered to people invited to their friends house. The main aim of the continental breakfast is that it involves the least possible amount of cooking. This is obviously ideal in the morning when you need to eat quickly and get started with your day.

This is a great breakfast if you are about to workout. You will need some carbohydrates, fiber, sugar and protein. Eggs and egg yolks are great for protein, perhaps a croissant for some carbohydrates, some cheese also provides protein, vitamin D and zinc to the body. And fresh fruit is great for natural sugar and fiber.
