Simple Crêpe Recipe

Crêpes are one of the simple and tastiest French snacks or desserts to make. Try this dairy free Or sugar free recipe at home, you will love it!

All you have to do is tweak the ingredients slightly to your preference.

This recipe makes 4 crêpes and takes about 35 minutes including preparation time and cooking time.

You will need the following Ingredients:

125g plain flour

2 large eggs

1 tbsp of sugar or Stevia or xylitol sweetener (you might want to add a little more as if using the sweeteners)

1/4 tsp. salt

360ml Coconut or almond milk (Alternatively you can add cows milk instead if you wish to.)

1 tbsp. of dairy free butter

Fresh fruit, sugar free jam, honey or agave nectar for topping

Utensils:

1 large mixing bowl

A whisk

A non stick frying pan.

Instructions:

  • Add the flour into the large mixing bowl then add the eggs, slowly whisking them into together. Add the salt and sugar, then stir until well combined. Add the milk slowly, whisking to combine. Let batter stand at room temperature until bubbly on top, 15 minutes.
  • Put a small frying pan on over medium heat, then melt the butter. About 1/4 of a cup at a time, add the batter evenly onto pan, swirling it around to even consistency.
  • Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook 1 minute more; repeat with remaining batter. Serve crêpes warm with fresh fruit, jam, honey or agave nectar.
  • You can also add dairy and or sugar free cream!
